The six-month lines: what the long versions really allow

Two Oopbuy pages mention six months. One sells it by the item, the other gives it away. Both clash with the 120-day line on two other pages. This page reads the two long versions closely and ends with a message to send support if you genuinely need the time.

This page: the V3 request window and both six-month ceilings

Day 60 to 180 · V3

V3 draws a window, then a ceiling

Item 3 of the value-added table has two limits in one sentence. The request window: “Only apply for the items that are stored within 60 till 90 days.” The ceiling: “Maximum storage time is 6 months.” Read together, you ask while the item is still inside its free period, and you can then keep it up to roughly day 180 at 10 RMB per product ID per month.

Two things are left open. The page does not say whether billing starts on the day you ask or on day 91. And six months is not a number of days; calendar months vary, so we treat it as about 180 days and plan as if it were a little less.

V4 · in context

Where the “6 months free” line lives

The helper article that says “up to 6 months free storage” is reached from an older list of help topics, the same list that holds Promotion Alliance rules and an app-download notice. The Storage page is in the footer of every screen. The article also says “0 service fee is our service philosophy”, which still matches the fee page, so it is not wrong about everything.

On storage it stands alone. The homepage strip says “90-Day Free Storage”, and the first-order article says 90 days. When one help article disagrees with the homepage, the fee page and the footer page, the likeliest explanation is an older text nobody updated. That is a judgement, so we label it as one.

V4 · the list

The help list that still carries the article

This is the list where the helper article sits: process durations, rehearsal-packing instructions, transfer and remittance notes, then “What is Shopping Agent Service? How does it work? How do you charge it?” fifth from the top. It loads normally and is reachable from Oopbuy's help centre, so it counts as a current published statement until Oopbuy removes or edits it.

If asking support about the conflict, include the article title and the relevant sentence, then request an explicit answer for your own items.

Risk · month 6

Why not to plan around six months

Line the four versions up against two plans. Ship at month six, and you are fine under V4, paying under V1, paying per item under V3 if you asked in time, and losing the items under V2. Planning shipment before day 80 leaves a buffer before the normal 90-day reference; it does not waive shipping or other fees.

The longer plan depends on assumptions that the conflicting pages do not resolve. There are good reasons to want more time, like a late item or a trip, but the published terms do not give you a safe long option. If you need it, get a written yes for your own sub-orders first.

V4 · step two

Step two of the helper article, word for word

Here is the exact passage, between step 1 (searching and providing item details) and step 3 (picking a time for delivery). The sentence “You have up to 6 months free storage to store your items” closes step 2. Step 3 then recommends stocking up several items and shipping them together “in order to save delivery fee”, advice that only works if the storage time is long.

Read in that light, the article describes a service where long storage is part of the pitch. The Storage page describes one where long storage is a paid exception. Both appeared in the dated reading; check the current wording for your account. If support confirms the six months for your account, record the answer as described below; if not, plan on 90 days.

Record · the reply

What to record when support answers

A support reply is only useful later if it is specific. Note the date and channel, which sub-orders it covers, the last date to submit, and the fee with its unit, per package or per item. Take a screenshot that shows the date. If the reply skips any of those, ask the missing question before you rely on it.

Then put the date in your own calendar a week early. Support answers describe your account on the day they are written; they do not set reminders for you, and the only automatic warning Oopbuy promises is the expiry email for normal packages.

Tool · support message

A message to send support when you need more time

Oopbuy runs a 24/7 online support widget and lists [email protected] as its support email. Whichever you use, name all three paid versions in your first message. It saves the reply that just links you back to the Storage page.

Fill in your sub-order numbers and received date, send it before day 75 if you can, and keep the answer with its date. If the reply names a fee and a date, retain that account-specific confirmation and make sure the account reflects the agreed extension.
