Paying to extend Oopbuy storage: one price, three ways to count it

Three Oopbuy pages put a price on keeping items past day 90, and all three use the number 10. They differ on what the 10 is charged for, how often, and when you are allowed to ask. Here is the arithmetic for real parcel sizes.

This page: paid days after day 90

Day 91 to 150 · fees

The storage extension fee, worked through for one parcel

Take a common case: one parcel holding four different items, and you want it to wait 60 days past day 90 because a fifth item is late. Under V1 (Storage page) that is two 30-day blocks on one package, 20 CNY. Under V2 (Customized logistics) it is not possible, because the single extension is capped at 30 days and day 150 is past day 120. Under V3 (value-added FAQ) it is four product IDs for two months, 80 RMB, and only if you asked before day 90. Under V4 it is free.

The spread runs from zero to eighty, plus one outcome where the items are marked Abandoned. That is why we never quote a single extension price, and why the fee is the wrong thing to plan around.

30 extra days · by size

How the bill grows with the number of items

For a single item the three paid versions cost the same, 10 for 30 days. The gap opens as the parcel grows. V1 charges per package, so ten items cost what one item costs. V3 charges per product ID, so ten items cost ten times as much. V2 is unclear: it prices an extension per time on a sub-order, and does not say whether one fee covers a whole parcel built from several sub-orders.

If your haul is large, assume the per-item reading until support tells you otherwise. The cheaper reading is the one that may not apply.

V3 · price list

Where the per-item price is printed

The value-added table puts storage next to the other paid warehouse extras, which helps with scale: rehearsal packing (weighing a parcel before you submit it) costs 20 RMB per parcel, a parcel photo before and after sealing 5 RMB, and each detailed photo 1 RMB. Extend Storage Period is 10 RMB per product ID per month.

Seen in that list, a month of storage for one item costs the same as ten extra QC close-ups. For a five-item parcel held two months it is 100 RMB, five times the price of rehearsal packing and more than many domestic freight charges. Small per unit, not small per haul.

Timing · when to ask

When you would have to ask, and why the pages clash

V1 opens the paid option after the fact: the package “has exceeded” 90 days, then you extend. V3 closes the request window at day 90: it applies only to items “stored within 60 till 90 days”. V2 sits in between, with the extension tied to the Expired status that starts at day 90 and a hard stop at day 120.

Following V1 by waiting until day 91 would put you outside V3 completely. Following V3 by asking on day 70 satisfies all three readings at once, which makes day 60 to day 75 the time to raise it with support if you know you will need more time.

Currency · in dollars

The extension fee in your own currency

All three paid versions quote yuan, written CNY on two pages and RMB on the third. They are the same currency. Using the divisor Oopbuy's own estimator applied on 10 October 2026, 5.9756 yuan to the dollar, one 10 CNY block is about 1.67 USD, and a V3 bill for five items over two months, 100 RMB, is about 16.73 USD.

Those are small sums next to a parcel's shipping, which is why the fee is rarely the real risk. The real risk is the version that does not sell you more time at all. PayPal top-ups are converted to US dollars on arrival, so what a CNY fee costs you in your own money depends on two conversions, not one.

Decision

When paying to wait is worth it

A storage fee buys time for one specific thing: an item that is already on its way and will join a parcel that is otherwise ready. In that case, compare the fee with the cost of a second international parcel, which carries another first-weight charge and another declaration fee (generally 8 CNY). Run both options in the official estimator on the same day.

Waiting for a sale, a payday or a holiday is different. Those waits have no fixed end, and they tend to run past day 120, where two Oopbuy documents allow disposal. Ship what you have and start a new parcel later.
